One of its kind, the Bird Migration Study Centre is a brainchild of Dr Balachandran, Deputy Director, BNHS. The first ever bird migration project in India was started in 1950s by the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). Since then BNHS has ringed over 3,00,000 birds. This camp will be a stepping stone for serious amateurs, birders and wildlife enthusiasts. Dr Balachandran will be leading the group. This tour will involve bird ringing, bird migration, data collection, visit to Vedaranyam and Udaymarkandam Sanctuary.

10% of the total cost will be given to the Centre for future development.

Batch 1- 6th to 11th November, 2012
Batch 2 – 14th to 19th December, 2012

10-12 maximum per batch

Accommodation
Dormitory at centre with attached toilet and bathroom.

Travel
Private vehicle from Chennai to Chennai.
