Q: With the upcoming infrastructure projects on the Narcondam island , can nothing be done to prevent damage to population of the Narcondam hornbills?

Thanks for your question to Conservation India. As per the latest information available with us, the RADAR station that was planned on Narcondam Island by the Indian Coast Guard may be shifted to an alternative location in the Andamans. As such, there may not be any immediate danger to Narcondam hornbills.
